Starter SaaS & ERP Platform
A production-ready multi-tenant ERP/SaaS boilerplate featuring LINE API integration, LIFF ordering, and role-based access.
1. Overview
A multi-tenant ERP and SaaS boilerplate built as a monorepo (Vue 3 client + Express REST API). It provides a full suite of business modules including Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, and HRMS.
2. Engineering Highlights
- Architecture: Monorepo structure (
npm-workspaces) comprising Vue 3 (Vite + Pinia) frontend and Node.js / Express REST API backend with Sequelize ORM. - State & Data Flow: Centralized client state with Pinia, request payload validation via Express Validator, and real-time state synchronization using Socket.IO with Redis adapter.
- Key Challenge & Solution: Securely routing external LINE Messaging API webhooks and quotation generation via LIFF; solved by implementing HMAC-SHA256 signature verification against webhook spoofing/replay attacks, dynamic Flex Message templates for quotes and order notifications, and Cloudflare Tunnel ingress to eliminate public port exposure.
3. Context & Problem
Developing SaaS platforms from scratch is repetitive and prone to architectural mistakes, especially when dealing with multi-tenancy (data isolation per organization), secure authentication, and webhook management.
4. Goal
To engineer a scalable SaaS starter template with a first-party delta that deeply integrates local commerce workflows—specifically connecting to the LINE Messaging API and providing seamless LIFF-based ordering.
5. My Role & What I Built
I extended the core SaaS architecture by maintaining a robust tracking fork (Manchinn/starter-saas).
- LINE Integration: Engineered the LINE Messaging API webhook receiving layer and implemented LIFF ordering natively into the ERP.
- Core Features: Built real-time in-app alerts via Socket.IO, stock ledger logic, and automated customer notifications.
- Infrastructure & Monorepo: Managed the Express + Sequelize backend and Vue 3 frontend across an
npm-workspacesmonorepo structure.
6. Result & Current State
The boilerplate is currently live and actively serves as the technical foundation for SaaS demonstrations, notably the fictional “MaeKade” brand demo, running entirely on a self-hosted Docker + Cloudflare Tunnel infrastructure.
